Police Investigating Apparent Suicide at Midlothian Reservoir (Update)

Cook County Sheriff's police have started a death investigation.

A man in his 20s died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.

Police are investigating a possible suicide involving a man found near the Midlothian Reservoir Tuesday afternoon.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death, according to a spokeswoman.

The 167th Street entrance to the reservoir was closed Tuesday due to the police activity.
