Oak Forest HS and Eisenhower HS Team Up for Annual Volley for the Cure

The Oak Forest High School Volleyball team is hosting their Annual Volley for the Cure night at the away game at Eisenhower High school on October 10, during both the freshman/sophomore game at 4:45 pm and the varsity game at 6:00 pm.  Oak Forest High School and their competitors, Eisenhower High School, are teaming up for the fight against breast cancer.

Volley for the Cure was created as a way to honor and celebrate the heroic fight people face against breast cancer.  The match on that evening will be dedicated to all the men and women who have been touched by breast cancer with the hopes that this disease will one day be cured.

At Oak Forest High School, there are several ways the groups at school are supporting the event.  The FCCLA students will be selling pink baked goods and the Ecology Club will be selling pink flowers.  Students, faculty, and staff will wear pink to school on the day of the match.

Students are encouraged to wear pink and pack the place that evening in support of this event.  Everyone at this match will be touched by pink in some way:  coaches, players and officials will be wearing pink, the ball and referee whistles will be pink, the gym will be decorated in pink balloons and the concession stand will be selling pink goodies.

Survivors are recognized and honored and will be entered into a special raffle.

There will be t-shirts for sale, raffles and special prizes, the proceeds of which will benefit the Susan G. Koman Foundation on the behalf of Oak Forest High School and Eisenhower High School Volleyball.

Everyone is invited to attend this event on October 10 at Eisenhower High School to help raise money for breast cancer research.
