ReplyProfessional football said goodbye to him. It's a shame the legacy of such a great player was tarnished by his own immature and selfish antics. He could have taken the $2 million, helped with the locker room and on-field transition to the new system, and had his "farewell tour". Now he just looks like a bitter, washed up has-been.

ReplyHey kibitzer, if your little tirade there was aimed at me, and it must be because no one else seems to be paying you any attention, I have done none of the things you mentioned above.

ReplyGhandi is in hell. Okay, well thanks for answering. That's what I needed in order to know that I have nothing else to say.

ReplyKibitzer, as you are clearly a true believer in Christ and that the only path to salvation is through Him, I would like to ask you a simple and very serious question. What do you think is the eternal fate of someone like, say, Ghandi?

ReplyAs a business traveller if I had to pick one it would probably be Midway. Pros are very convenient parking if you are using the terminal lots, short distance from parking to ticket counters, security is generally not terrible to get through. Cons are to many leisure travellers that don't fly much and aren't accustomed to the rules (3,1,1 taking off your shoes and belt, laptops out of the bag, etc) and bog down security lines at times. Also, the short runways make landings a little more sporty than I would like. If you are parking in the cheaper remote lots it's also a hassle to take the shuttle bus to the terminal.
OHare has its challenges too, mostly due to how large it is and the long walks from parking to ticket counters, then from counters to gates...it's a workout. Security points are often undermanned and take forever as well.

Can't get off at Central. Exit ramp has been closed for many months. Harlem is an option but then you sit through endless lights on Archer. Best to just suck it up and take Cicero...it's really not that bad.

ReplyAnother thing...I'm the LAST one to defend anyone convicted of a sex crime, especially where children are involved, BUT...he was 18 and she was 14. Could be he was a senior in high school dating a freshman, they had a sexual relationship, dad found out and sought vengence on the kid. Still not right, but a big difference between 18 and 14 versus 35 and 14. In a case like this, I think it's important to learn all the facts before conclusions are jumped.

Anonymous, of course he can do what he wants. Every meatball Bears fan needs to let go of anything related to the storied past...including Ditka quotes about ancient history. Look at the payroll over the past ten years and you'll see that those statements no longer apply to this team. Urlacher did work hard and played through pain...just like a whole bunch of other players...and he was well compensated for it. He played hard, they paid him well...as it should be. Urlacher's ego wouldn't allow him to recognize his own diminished skills and accept the compensation those skills are worth today. If he was worth more than $2 million (of even worth the $2 million the team generously offered) someone else would have paid him and he would be getting ready to head into a different training camp. His skills when he was at his prime will be missed, but we haven't seen those in three years. It was nice while it lasted, but he shouldn't let the door hit him on the way out.
