One Day Left to Register to Vote

The voter registration deadline for the Tuesday, April 9, election must register by Tuesday, March 12.

The deadline for Illinois voters to register for the upcoming election on Tuesday, April 9, is almost here. Voters looking to cast their ballot in the election should head to one of several locations to register, including the County Clerk's Office, city and village offices, township offices and public libraries and register by Tuesday, March 12. To register: Voters must provide two forms of identification: one with a current address, and others that can include a copy of current and valid photo ID, copy of a utility bill bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document with name and address. Register to Vote by March 12

The deadline to register to vote for the April election is March 12.

Residents wishing to vote in the April 9 municipal election need to act soon—the deadline to register is fast-approaching. The cutoff to register is Tuesday, March 12. Residents can register at City Hall, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Mayor Hank Kuspa is running unopposed. City Clerk Scott Burkhardt is up against Carl Stegner. Candidate John Janozik is running against 4th Ward Alderman Chuck Toland. After opponents challenged the candidacy of two incumbents, the 6th Ward race is down to two candidates: Ken Barry and James Hortsman. Former mayor Jo Ann Kelly is seeking election to the city treasurer role, and 2nd Ward Alderman Rich Simon is running once again. For additional information, visit the Cook County Clerk's website…

Did everyone in the 4th ward get their first installment of property taxes? Please go through patch and other websites and review all the tax increases Alderman Toland has approved and look at how it relates to your higher tax bills. Toland did not do it alone.
