Masked Man with Gun, Accomplices Rob Oak Forest Liquor Store

A man jumped over the counter of Foremost Liquors in Oak Forest, flashing a gun and ordering an employee to the ground before robbing the register Aug. 27. A second suspect pulled out a bat, before a third appeared and all three fled the scene.

A masked, gun-toting man ordered an employee at Foremost Liquors, 15211 S. Cicero, to the ground before emptying the register, as an accomplice held another employee at bay with a baseball bat, according to police reports.  Two black men dressed in black entered the store—one armed with a gun, employees told police Aug. 27. The armed, masked man pulled on a pair of gloves before pillaging the register, as a second man wielded a baseball bat grabbed from behind the counter. A third man entered the store, and all three fled the scene in a white, windowless van with a "large, yellow smudge" on the back door. Police were called to the scene around 8 p.m.  Sign up for Oak Forest Patch breaking news alerts!
