An Oak Forest woman charged with two counts of felony theft has pleaded not guilty, according to court records. Police say Cheryl L. Becker, 54, of the 15600 block of Vista Drive in Oak Forest stole two cash deposits from Carl Sandburg High School in late August where she worked as a cashier, totaling $9,215.70. Becker is out of custody on $15,000 bond. She is being represented by attorney Raymond P. Garza. Consolidated High School District 230 began an internal forensic audit of money handling after three women were accused of stealing $10,000 in cash from the school’s cashier office on Sept. 5. Police say Cheryl L. Becker, 54, of the 15600 block of Vista Drive in Oak Forest stole two cash deposits from the school, where she works as a cashier, in late August totaling $9,215.70. She is facing two counts of felony theft. Becker appeared in court on Oct. 26 and court records have Raymond Garza listed as her attorney.
