Cheryl Becker, 54, pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony theft in a Bridgeview courtroom this week, denying that she stole more than $9,600 in cash deposits.

An Oak Forest woman charged with two counts of felony theft has pleaded not guilty, according to court records. Police say Cheryl L. Becker, 54, of the 15600 block of Vista Drive in Oak Forest stole two cash deposits from Carl Sandburg High School in late August where she worked as a cashier, totaling $9,215.70. Becker is out of custody on $15,000 bond. She is being represented by attorney Raymond P. Garza. Consolidated High School District 230 began an internal forensic audit of money handling after three women were accused of stealing $10,000 in cash from the school’s cashier office on Sept. 5. Oak Forest Woman Accused of Theft from School to Be Back in Court Next Month

  An Oak Forest woman accused of stealing more than $9,200 from Sandburg High School is out on $15,000 bond and is scheduled to be back in court next month, according to court records. Police say Cheryl L. Becker, 54, of the 15600 block of Vista Drive in Oak Forest stole two cash deposits from the school, where she works as a cashier, in late August totaling $9,215.70. She is facing two counts of felony theft. Becker appeared in court on Oct. 26 and court records have Raymond Garza listed as her attorney. In a phone call with Patch Wednesday, Garza confirmed he is Becker's attorney but declined further comment. Cops: Oak Forest Woman Accused of Stealing More Than $9,200 From Sandburg HS

The same cashier alerted police to a theft of about $10,000 about a month ago, and is now charged with two felonies in connection to this separate incident.

An Oak Forest woman who works as a cashier at Carl Sandburg High School is facing felony charges after she was accused Friday of stealing two cash deposits from the school in late August totaling $9,215.70, according to police. Cheryl L. Becker, 54, of the 15600 block of Vista Drive in Oak Forest, is charged with two counts of felony theft. Consolidated High School District 230 began an internal forensic audit of money handling after three women were accused of stealing $10,000 in cash from the school’s cashier office on Sept. 5.
