Lost Dog: Frankie Has Been Found (Update)

Frankie, an older tan-and-white Border Collie mix with bad arthritis, went missing Friday afternoon, in Tinley Park. Thankfully, his owners found him Saturday morning at the PAWS Animal Shelter on 191st Street.

UPDATED (10:33 a.m. April 6): Kim Melnik emailed Saturday morning to say that Frankie was found at the PAWS Animal Shelter in Tinley Park. "We are all very happy and thankful," she wrote. This is the best news I have heard! I was at our vet's office on Friday when someone called asking about possible places to call, to look for a lost dog. That lost dog had to be Frankie! The receptionist said Frankie was a 12 year old border collie mix and was deaf. I was so saddened to hear that news of a lost dog. Found: Lost Dog Recovered in Midlothian

Oak Forest residents were asking for your help in finding their lost dog "Sassy," who was last seen Jan. 14 near 159th and Central. "Sassy," was found Tuesday, Jan. 15 in Midlothain.

UPDATE: Sassy was found early Tuesday afternoon, in Midlothian. --------------------------------------------- Oak Forest and area residents, keep an eye out for this female boxer mix. She goes by "Sassy," and is 3 years old, weighing approximately 45 pounds. She is mostly brown with a white blaze down her nose, and a partially white muzzle. She was last seen Jan. 14, near 159th and Central Avenue. UPDATE: According to friends of "Sassy's" owner, who posted on the Oak Forest Patch Facebook page, the pooch was found around 10a.m. in Midlothian.
