Last Chance to Learn Organization at the Library
The Acorn Public Library will host Barbara Tischler, aka 'The Clutter Coach,' on Saturday, March 23, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Tischler will be teaching attendees how to organize their homes and their lives.
Organization can be a tough concept to nail down. Papers scattered everywhere, meetings slipping by and important events forgotten—all due to poor organizational skills. On Saturday, March 23, the Acorn Public Library will welcome Barbara Tischler, aka 'The Clutter Coach,' who will be presenting, 'Organize Your Home—Clutter Control.' The class will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the library's meeting room and will focus on ways to get organized and the benefits of being organized. Last Chance to Catch 'Those Were the Days' Radio Players
Those Were the Days Radio Players will reenact two shows at the Acorn Public Library on Thursday, March 14. The show will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to preregister their attendance to ensure a seat.

Last Chance for Senior Luncheon
The Oak Forest Senior Commission will host its monthly luncheon Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Oak Forest Community Center. The guest speaker will be Dr. Kevin Dolehide.

The commission will host seniors for an afternoon full of food, fun and information, as Dr. Kevin Dolehide will also give a presentation during the lunch. The luncheon kicks off at 11 a.m. at the community center, at the corner of 155th Street and Kilpatrick Avenue, with tickets $4 at the door. Last Chance for Financial Tips at the Library
The Acorn Public Library will host a 'Money Smart Financial Education, Financial Recovery,' workshop on Saturday, Feb. 23. The event is free to attend.
Most people could use a little bit of extra coin in their pockets and the Acorn Public Library wants to help residents figure out ways to put a few more dollars in their pocketbooks and keep 'em there—and it's all free. On Saturday, Feb. 23, from noon to 1 p.m., the library will host, 'Money Smart Financial Education—Financial Recovery,' a program designed to help residents start being money-conscientious. The workshop will cover topics including: How to assess current financial situation, identifying ways to increase income, decrease and prioritize expenses, developing and implement a financial recovery plan, how to recognize and guard against credit repair scams, and timeframes to review and adjust financial recovery. Last Chance for PowerPoint Class
The Acorn Public Library is hosting an introduction to PowerPoint class Monday, Feb. 4, in the lower level computer lab. The class costs $5 and will last from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
For Oak Forest residents looking to brush up on their PowerPoint skills, the Acorn Public Library is ready to help. On Monday, Feb. 4, the library will host Power Point I, a class dedicated to introducing attendees to the program's basics. Attendees will learn to make their own slide show presentations during the class, along with other basics. The class takes places from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the library's lower level computer lab. Registration must be done at the circulation desk at the library. There is a $5 fee for the class. Anyone wishing to save their work must have a working email or bring a USB drive. Last Chance for Daddy, Daughter Date Night
The Oak Forest Park District will host a daddy, daughter date night at Arbor Park Middle School. The night will be filled with music, fun and great to memories for attendees. The cost of the event is $18 per couple.
Every girl is 'Daddy's Little Girl,' and the Oak Forest Park District is ready to give dads and daughters their own special night to build on that bond. On Feb. 8, the park district will host its annual Daddy, Daughter Date Night at Arbor Park Middle School from 7 to 9 p.m. Registration for the event ends Monday, Jan. 28. The cost of the event is $18 per couple, with an additional $8 charge for every additional date. The night will be filled with music, memories and more, according to the park district, including a balloon drop to end the night. Last Chance for the St. Damian Fun Fair
St. Damian School and the Class of 2013 will host its annual Fun Fair, Saturday, Jan. 19. The fair will be held in the Grimmel Center from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Class of 2013 at St. Damian School will hold a Fun Fair Saturday, Jan. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Father Grimmel Center. The event will feature food, fun, raffles, games and prizes for those in attendance. The eighth graders will welcome one and all to the event, which will donate proceeds to Neurofibromatosis Midwest.
