WATCH: K-9 Cop Orry Clocks Out for Last Time

After special recognition from Oak Forest aldermen Sept. 11, Oak Forest's beloved K-9 cop Orry stepped out of the public eye and into retirement.

It got a little noisy in Oak Forest council chambers Tuesday night, but Mayor Hank Kuspa didn't seem to mind.  Perched front and center on a table, Oak Forest K-9 Officer Orry sat quietly until Ald. Chuck Toland finished reading the proclamation in his name—then barked his appreciation.  Orry retired from the force Sept. 11, after six years alongside human sidekick Jason Vodnik.  Known for his strong sniffer, big bark and unyielding bite, Orry was also a crowd favorite, often offering local kids a tail wag and a chance at tug of war. Orry was somewhat of a public figure, in addition to police officer.
