Last Chance for the St. Damian Fun Fair

St. Damian School and the Class of 2013 will host its annual Fun Fair, Saturday, Jan. 19. The fair will be held in the Grimmel Center from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Class of 2013 at St. Damian School will hold a Fun Fair Saturday, Jan. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Father Grimmel Center. The event will feature food, fun, raffles, games and prizes for those in attendance. The eighth graders will welcome one and all to the event, which will donate proceeds to Neurofibromatosis Midwest. St. Damian Eighth-Graders Put the 'Fun' in Fundraising

The school's eldest students raised more than $5,000 at the school's annual fun fair—which they donated to three charities of their choosing.

St. Damian students recently pulled all the levers on their annual Fun Fair fundraiser, from carnival games, to food and raffles. They even handpicked the charities that would benefit from more than $5,000 raised during the January event. Students presented the checks to charities Ronald McDonald House, Autism Speaks and St. Damian Educate a Child Fund Wednesday. Lots of work and dedicated planning went into the event, with students divided into committees for food, raffles, games, set-up and cleaning. Some students even tried their hand at advertising, with homemade jingles promoting the fair.
