Five Indiana men charged with assault in the Ashford House brawl pleaded guilty to three felony counts of armed violence against the advice of their attorneys Friday, Jan. 4 and were sentenced to various stints in prison.

Against the advice of their attorneys who believed they could win at trial, five Indiana men charged in the Ashford House attack pleaded guilty to three counts of armed violence Friday in a Bridgeview courtroom. Judge Carmen K. Aguilar handed down the sentences in the attack, where the men stormed the Tinley Park restaurant wearing masks, hoods and gloves with axes and metal batons to confront a neo-Nazi group meeting on May 19 of last year. Website Asks Ashford House 5 Supporters to 'Pack Courtroom' Next Month

A website devoted to raising money to pay the legal fees for the five Indiana men charged assault in this summer's restaurant brawl wants to show solidarity for the defendants at their next court date in January.

A website put out a call Monday to show support for the five Indiana men charged for their involvement in the Ashford House attack case, asking sympathizers to "pack the courtroom" at the defendants' January court date. The site—TinleyPark5.wordpress.com, which has been raising money to help pay the group's legal fees—and Chicago Anarchist Black Cross posted online statements, explaining that attending the defendants' Jan. 4 hearing at the Bridgeview Courthouse will show the court what kind of public support the men have. Ashford House 5 Leaves Plea Deal on the Table, for Now

Five Indiana men charged with assault in the Ashford House brawl have decided not to take a plea agreement offered by a Cook County judge and will instead move forward with a motion to suppress the vehicle stop where they were arrested.

Five Indiana men charged with several felonies for their involvement in the Ashford House attack case will spend the holidays in jail after declining a plea deal from a Cook County judge on Monday, Dec. 17. But the offer is still on the table, an attorney for one of the men told Patch after Monday's hearing, and the five want to see if the judge will suppress their vehicle stop—and the evidence gathered from it, as well as the defendants' subsequent arrests—in January. The five Indiana men accused of assault after an attack on an alleged white supremacist meeting at a Tinley Park restaurant this summer want time to consider a deal offered by a Cook County judge Friday.

The five Indiana men on trial for their involvement in the Ashford House attack case need time to consider a recommended sentence from a Cook County judge offering a plea deal, attorneys said after a hearing Friday, Dec. 7.
