Residents can stop by this neighborhood park, located next to Morton Gingerwood School, to enjoy one of two tennisMore courts, a basketball court or flag football field. Home to the Oak Forest Park District Girls' Softball Association, four softball fields are also available.

Visitors can enjoy a snack from the concession stand in the picnic area. Younger park guests can take advantage of the full playground, complete with tot lot.

The park was named after Don Burns, one of the park district's original commissioners.

Carl Sandburg High School is a public school for students from Oak Forest, Orland Park, Orland Hills, Tinley Park andMore Palos Park. Part of District 230, the "Home of the Eagles" has prepared teenage students for adult life since 1954.

Sandburg High School is home to a multitude of athletic, scholastic and performing-arts programs. Several teams have competed successfully in IHSA, including the 2010 championship-winning girls' softball team, the debate team, boys' wrestling, varsity cheerleading, boys' and girls' cross-country and boys' swimming and diving. Several students have been ranked in the National Merit Scholarship Program for academic achievement.
