My heart aches, there is something missing and it is Bob. He was always smiling, laughing, having aRead More great time with life. He gave the best hugs and he was just the best person I knew. We would hang out in highschool DGS and would try to hang out at 4th of July, I believe he came over with his fiance last summer 2012. Gratefully I was able to see him on Friday and gave him a hug which I would have never known it would have been my last. He will truly be missed forever and will live on in all of our hearts. RIP Bob and I hope any pain you may have had is now gone. - With love and sadness, Alyson L.

Our Oak Forest Veterans Commission visits all the Oak Forest Veterans wakes. In your obituaries, itRead More would be helpfull if you indicated if the deceased was a veteran.

I am curious as to why there are never any South Suburban Death notices that mention Hickey MemorialRead More Center in Midlothian. I know many Oak Forest residents that attended St. Christopher School and are parishioner’s at St. Christopher’s Church. I know many Oak Forest residents that have had their funeral services at Hickeys. I find it curious that notices are placed for funeral homes in Matteson, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Chicago Heights, New Lenox, Homewood, Evergreen Park, Mokena, Frankfort, Homewood Flossmoor, and others and nothing for Midlothian, our closest neighbor. Is there a reason?

I was just wondering the same thing about Curley's funeral home in Chicago Ridge.

And I wonder why Death Notices are organized by Funeral Home. I would think most folks are lookingRead More for a deceased's name and doesn't really care which funeral home is handling the funeral services. The name of the funeral home and the town in which the deceased lived can be listed beneath each deceased listing. Wouldn't that really be an easier way to organize the matters?

Wow, huge loss to everyone he knew, is anyone up to date on what was the cause of death in thisRead More tragedy? Many people speaking of an overdose, fatigue, etc. Either way, this HAS to be the hardest thing these parents have dealt with, Robin and Steve Sr. will be in our prayers.
