This unique public golfing establishment is set deep in the woods of a beautiful forest preserve. The championship course snakes through a wooded backdrop, accessible and fun for newer players while playing to an imposing 7,262/142 slope from the tips. The course is extremely well-bunkered, and water is in play on ten holes. Highlights include the 8th, with a beautiful approach shot over a crystal lake to a shallow green, the 11th, a par-5 with a fairway bracketed left and right by water, and the diabolical finishing hole, which has to be seen to be believed.
