Oktoberfest at Blarney Stone Pub: Don't miss live music from the Bratwurst Brothers starting at 7 p.m., Oktoberfest food and beer pairings. Buy an Oktoberfest Beer and keep the glass while supplies last. Special tapping, food specials, and beer specials all night. No cover.
Damon Williams at GSU Promise Fest: Governors State University's Promise Fest, the first of its kind and a student-produced event, brings comedy star Damon Williams to GSU Center for Performing Arts for a night of laughs on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. $30 general admission, $15 for students. SATURDAY, OCT. 5
Craft Fair: Visit the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection Fall Craft Fair for raffles, bake sale and delicious fall foods. Get a jump on your holiday shopping. Starts at 10 a.m.
St. Damian 5K Walk/Run: This second annual event starts at St. Damian School, 5300 W. 155th St. Registration is from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m., and the race begins at 8 a.m. Find out more details.
What Else to Watch for This Weekend
the south and southwest suburbs are welcome to try out for the Attack Volleyball Club 2013-2014 season on Sunday, October 6, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the Franklin Loebe Center in Orland Park.
