WATCH: Santa and the Missus Give More Than Gifts This Christmas

Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped into the tree lighting Saturday, Dec. 10. After the lights were aglow, the pair greeted kiddies, then stayed behind for one more way to add their names to the "Nice" list.

They've definitely been good this year.

After , hot cocoa sipped, and cookies eaten, Santa and Mrs. Claus stayed behind for one last task Saturday, Dec. 10.

The Big Guy and his wife were eager to give the gift of life this Christmas, they told Patch. The pair decided to donate blood during the Oak Forest Rotary's Battle of the Badges Blood Drive.

Donations for the drive totaled 41 pints, with the the Battle of the Badges for the fourth year in a row.

The drive was coordinated by Heartland Blood Centers, an independent not-for-profit blood center that strives to collect 172,000 units of blood each year.

The next chance to donate will be Saturday, Feb. 12, at the group's annual pancake breakfast fundraiser at .
