Flash Flood Warning In Effect Until 2:30 a.m.

Flooding has already closed parts of I-90/94 in Chicago.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Cook County that will be in effect until 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. 

"At 8:15 p.m.... National Weather Service doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain has already fallen across portions of the area," the warning states. 

Eastbound/southbound I-90/94 in Chicago has been closed because of flooding, and traffic is being rerouted at I-290, according to an emergency alert.
