It's Party Time at the Library
After a full summer of reading, it's time for the bookworms to let loose with a Summer Reading Party at the Acorn Public Library.
Oak Forest, all your summer reading is about to pay off! The time has finally come, the 's Summer Reading Party is taking place Saturday, Aug. 11, from noon to 2p.m. The party will feature pizza, refreshments and prizes.
For every row patrons completed on the library's Summer Reading Program's reading Bingo card, they were entered into a weekly drawing—with a grand prize up for grabs. The grand prize, which will be raffled off during the party, is a year-long family pass to Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
Weekly raffles were also held with prizes including gift certificates to local businesses, according to library spokesperson Mike Monahan.
