Last Chance: A Trip to a Strawberry Festival

Wednesday is the last day to register for the Oak Forest Park District's tip to the Long Grove Strawberry Festival.

Do you love strawberries?

Well, your window of opportunity to sign up for the June 22 Long Grove Strawberry Festival is slowly closing.

Sponsoring by the , the fest promises to be "berry" wonderful. The district invites you to "flock to dipping stations for chocolate-covered strawberries, fruit smoothies, ice cream, strawberry donuts and baked goods as well as fresh farm berries."

The deadline to register is Wednesday, June 6. For more information, call Stephanie at (708) 687-7270 ext. 118.

The fest will also feature live entertainment and most of Long Grove’s many shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants offer variations of themed foods, drinks and merchandise. There will be fun for all ages with plenty of activities and fun for children, including a variety of kiddie rides, face painting, and outdoor activities and tents full of family and education oriented products.

The bus will leave the Central Park Building at 9:00 a.m. and return back at approximately 5:00 p.m. on June 22. The fee for the day is $47 for the cost of transportation.
