Frosty Fundraiser: Buy a Custard Cup Poolside to Help Gingerwood
Oak Forest's Gingerwood Community Pool and 2 Sisters Frozen Custard team up Sunday afternoon for a benefit to raise money for the pool. Find out the details.
In what's become an annual tradition, 2 Sisters Frozen Custard will be returning to Gingerwood Community Pool for a fundraising event Sunday.
The Midlothian-based dessert shop will be selling custard cups for $2, with proceeds going to the pool. The event is made possible by the owners of 2 Sisters, Pat and Lisa Callaghan, who are also pool members. Last year, the one-day fundraiser earned more than $150 for the pool at 5124 Aldersyde Road.

And Sunday, June 23, should be an ideal day for a cool snack poolside, according to the National Weather Service forecast. The day looks to be mostly sunny with a high of 88 degrees, according to the forecast.
