Oak Forest Native Plays Role in IU Baseball's Version of 'Hoosiers'

At Indiana University, the majority of varsity sports take a backseat to men's basketball, with men's soccer coming in a distant second.

But with IU's first-ever trip to the College World Series in Omaha, baseball has become the new Hoosiers darling, and Oak Forest native Chris Sujka gets to play a part in Indiana's Cinderella story.

The Hoosiers won its CWS debut Saturday, June 15, with a 2-0 shut out against Louisville. Sujka came in as a pinch hitter and went 0-1.

Indiana faces Mississippi State at 7 p.m. Monday, June 17.
