Oak Forest HS Boys' Volleyball Standout Snagged as Top Recruit

Oak Forest's Jeff Sprayberry has verbally committed to King University.

Oak Forest High School's Jeff Sprayberry has verbally committed to King University.

Coach Ryan Booher offered outside hitter Sprayberry a volleyball scholarship one day after Sprayberry's visit to the Bristol, Tenn. campus, said his father Jeff Sprayberry. Booher called Sprayberry his "#1 recruit."

Booher spotted Sprayberry at the Junior Nationals in Reno this past summer, where he was playing for Chicago Volleyball Club. As a junior Jeff was one of five players (and the only junior) nominated for Player of the Year in the South Suburban Conference.

Though he was being courted by several schools, Sprayberry decided on King.
