Gimme 5: Oak Forest's Maziur Seeks Another Milestone

Bengals volleyball senior Dylan Maziur was around for the program's first conference championship. Now, he wants a regional championship.

Oak Forest boys volleyball senior Dylan Maziur was around for one of the milestones from the young program’s history. Now, he wants to be a part of another one.

The Oak Forest boys volleyball program started in 2003, and last season was the first time the Bengals won a conference championship. They still have yet to win a regional championship, and Maziur hopes this will be the year it happens.

The third-year starter is headed to Loyola next year where he will study pre-med. He is considering walking on to the volleyball team there, but unsure if he will have the time considering the overwhelming nature of pre-med classes.
