Gimme 5: Oak Forest Setter Eyes Conference Championship
Bengals' Cody Owens plans on attending Lewis University. But, first, he and his team have work to do this season.
Flash back: It was last season for the . The Bengals were in a match against the top-ranked team in the state, Maine South. One of the Bengals' starting right-side hitters was out of the match, but they had a backup who was ready to fill the void.
Cody Owens came in and served four aces in a row for Oak Forest to put the Bengals right back in the match. The Bengals lost the match, but proved their worth, as later they would go on to be South Suburban Conference champions for the first time in school history.
Owens now is a senior setter for the Bengals. He plans on attending next year where he will play club volleyball and study political science.
