SSC Basketball Teams to Host Region IV-A Playoffs

The South Suburban College men’s and women’s basketball teams will both host matchups in the NJCAA Region IV-A Playoffs this Thursday, Feb. 24.
 
First, the No. 2 seeded Lady Bulldogs will play host to the victor of the Wright College vs. Triton matchup. They will host their first round game at the SSC Fitness Center at 5 p.m. Thursday.   The Lady Bulldogs are 21-5 on the season.
 
The men’s basketball team received the No. 1 seed for the fifth straight year and will host Wright College on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs finished the season ranked No. 4 in the nation with a 26-4 record. 

Bulldogs’ sophomore James Harris has also been named Player-of-the-Week for the second consecutive week.  It is his fifth Player-of-the-Week award this season which is the most of any player in the region.
