Girls Lacrosse

Even though girls lacrosse officially kicked off this past week, there is still plenty of time to sign your 3rd-8th grade daughter up for this exciting new-to-the-south-suburbs sport. The Oak Forest Park District has partnered with the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association to provide an introductory-level program for grammar school age girls interested in trying this sport. The teams practices once a week, play a total of 5 games beginning April 29th and are coached primarily by womens high school and college lacrosse players. There are two established teams (3-4-5th grade and 6-7-8th grade) with a total of 22 girls signed up. The park district has waived out-of-district fees ($170) and as a result, this team consists of girls from Oak Forest as well as the communities of Crestwood, Midlothian, Orland Park,  and Tinley Park. More information can be found at www.iglax.org or by e-mailing Joe Conway at south3@iglax.org The first step to register is easy...go to www.iglax.org and click on the registration tab. Then simply e-mail south3@iglax.org and you will receive all the necessary information.

Looking forward to seeing some new faces!
