District 228 Water Polo Team Gaining Momentum

The girls water polo squad improved its record to 20-7 as it gears up for sectionals.

The District 228 girls water polo team is on a roll as sectionals approach.

Last Saturday, the team won the independent conference tournament, which is for teams without a conference. That was followed by a 17-3 victory over Bradley at home on Tuesday, and an 11-10 road victory over Nequa Valley. The team is now 20-7.

For District 228, sectionals start this Wednesday against Lincoln-Way North. If District 228 defeats North, it will face the winner of the showdown between Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way East.
