Baseball Showcase Event to Feature Top High School Talent in Illinois & From Around the Midwest

Sean Duncan, publisher of Prep Baseball Report, has invited 60 of the best high school baseball players in the Midwest to attend a Super 60 Pro Showcase event on Sunday at the Max-McCook Athletic & Exposition Center in McCook, Ill.

OK, so it's February. The start of baseball season is still a ways off.

But the weather has been almost spring-like of late. And there is a big baseball event coming up on Sunday. The Super 60 Pro Showcase will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Max-McCook Athletic & Exposition Center in McCook, Ill.

Yeah, it's Super Bowl Sunday. But you can check out some prime talent and still be home in plenty of time for the opening kick. And there will be plenty of talent on hand.

"Look at the statistics," Duncan said in Bell's article on CSNChicago.com. "Aside from the baseball hotbeds of Georgia, Texas, California and Floriday, Illinois has the highest number of players drafted and is one of the leading producers of players in the major leagues."

Duncan's top 16 list of players he has covered since he began evaluating talent in 2005 includes designated hitter Tim Barry, a 2011 graduate of Oak Forest High School. .
