Athlete of the Week: Seiler Emerges as Bengal Volleyball Basher
Autumn Seiler had 12 kills in Oak Forest's come-from-behind three-set victory over Bremen. Her strong play at the net has enabled the Bengals to bring a more diversified attack to the fray.
Autumn Seiler doesn't often lead the Oak Forest girls volleyball attack, but she remains one of the Bengals' most important offensive threats.
Seiler gave Oak Forest some balance in the Bengals' 21-25, 25-17, 25-21 victory over Bremen. Playing opposite of all-conference outside hitter Gina Ryan, Seiler put down 12 kills and was especially big in the middle of the third game.
She is honored today as the Patch Athlete of the Week for Oak Forest.

"She’s another explosive hitter," Bengals coach Amanda Brown said. "At Oak Forest, we’re not belessed with a lot of size, but over the last 10 years we’ve had some tremendous athletes on the outside."
Brown added that Seiler's play will be especially important as defenses try to focus on Ryan late in the season.
