Athlete of the Week: Oak Forest's Sagan Plays for Keeps

Give an offense too many opportunities, and even the best goalies will eventually concede a few scores.

For the first 60 minutes of  junior goalkeeper Jacob Sagan single-handedly kept the Bengals in the game. He survived an onslaught of shots from the Spartans' forwards and midfielders, making a few sprawling saves in one-on-one situations.

Without much of a counter-attack, Oak Forest's defense broke down in the last 20 minutes, allowing four goals to Oak Lawn.

Sagan had 14 saves on the day as Oak Lawn took around 30 shots on goal over the course of the game.

For his efforts, Sagan is Patch’s Athlete of the Week.
