Oak Forest High School Varsity cheerleaders took top prize at Riverside-Brookfield Sectional competition Sunday, Feb. 2, grabbing hold of a spot at IHSA state competition Feb. 7–8.
Oak Forest finished on a score of 87.30, with runner-up Lemont High School nipping at their heels with an 86.77. Rounding out the top five are Tinley Park (84.23), Riverside-Brookfield (84.10), and Lincoln-Way West (81.50).
The team will travel to Bloomington-Normal Feb. 7–8 for the IHSA state competition. Preliminary round performances are scheduled for Friday; final round will be held Saturday.
