'Seniors' Start the Holiday Season at OFHS

Oak Forest High School students got some senior citizens' holiday seasons started on the right foot Wednesday, Nov. 30.

rang in the holiday season at this year’s Senior Citizen Luncheon, held November 30 in the Oak Forest High School Instructional Materials Center.  Seniors were welcomed to the school by and Associate Principal Dan Dunne.

Preschool students won everyone’s hearts as they sang a holiday song.  Then the Oak Forest High School Music Department led the rest of the program. The OFHS Jazz Band, led by Nick Rojek, played several big band numbers and the Madrigals, led by Victor Pazik, sang several madrigal and holiday numbers, highlighting their upcoming program at the high school on December 3 and 4.

After the musical program, the senior citizens enjoyed feasting on turkey and all of the trimmings in the Instructional Materials Center. Dunne challenged the seniors to a holiday trivia contest and several people won free Oak Forest T-shirts and sweatshirts.
