School Supplies: What District 142 Students Need This Year

School openings are right around the corner, and its about time for students and their parents to hit the stores for some back to school shopping. Clothes, pens, pencils and all other school supplies are going to be flying off shelves and Patch wants to help make sure everyone knows exactly what supplies they'll need for this school year.

Below is a list of school supplies for schools in School District 142, with the the exact items each student should have for the 2012-13 school year.

Ridge Kindergarten

• Two containers of Lysol Disinfectant Wipes
• Four boxes of basic color crayons, Crayola only—no jumbos
• One pair of Fiskar scissors
• Two boxes of eight classic Crayola Markers, NO florescent colors or fine tip
• One backpack that can easily fit a folder in it, NO wheels
• Two pocket folders, labeled with student's name

• 12 Elmer's glue sticks in August, 12 more in January
