OFHS Prom: A Night for the Ages Among the Giants of All Time
Oak Forest High School held its 2011 junior/senior prom at the Field Museum in downtown Chicago.
They danced at the feet of dinosaurs and twirled under the tusks of elephants—among rare jewels and ancient artifacts. They dined under archways and between pillars, with heels clicking across marble floors, as their smiles reflected in the glow of display cases.
'A Night at Gatsby's' was one to remember for Oak Forest High School's 350 prom-goers.
The venue, Field Museum, was on a bit of a larger scale than venues of years past—think T-Rex-sized. The students were thrilled with the location, noting how well it fit with the Gatsby theme.
