Former Oak Forest High School Principal to Retire

After two hours of closed session, Bremen High School District 228 board members approved the retirement of former OFHS principal David Wilson.

Two months after reassigning former Oak Forest High School Principal Dr. David Wilson to a social worker role, Bremen District 228 board members approved another change in his duties: his retirement. After two hours of closed executive session June 21, the board voted 4 to 1 in approval of Wilson's decision.

Board president Debi Stearns stood as the lone dissenting vote.

Stearns told the board in open session that she voted no because she, “object[s] to removing the notice to remedy from [Wilson's] file.”

As reported by Patch in late April, Wilson was placed on paid administrative leave by district administration after a week-long investigation that month. The board voted in early May to uphold that decision.

Superintendent Bill Kendall Thursday, in early May told Patch that the investigation was based on personnel issues surrounding administrative decisions made by Wilson during his role as principal.
