SSC to Host “Lean Construction Overview” Session at Oak Forest Campus

The Business & Career Institute of South Suburban College is hosting a one-day “Lean Construction Overview " class presented by WCM Associates LLC on Monday, June 27, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the University & College Center, 16333 S. Kilbourn Ave. in Oak Forest 
 
This session will give participants from all areas of construction a basic understanding of what “Lean” is, and how “Lean” can be applied specifically to eliminating wasteful activities in construction offices, shop, and jobsite processes, thus improving owner/customer value.  Attendees will learn about eight types of waste that occur in construction processes.  Participants will come away recognizing the need to change, what some of those changes are and what next steps can be taken.  Examples and scenarios will pertain to construction environments.
