Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools Superintendent to discuss “The Face of God in Schools”

Chicago (Jan. 21, 2011) Sr. Mary Paul McCaughey, O.P., superintendent for the Catholic schools for the Archdiocese of Chicago will lead Theology South on Thurs., Feb. 3 at Saint Xavier University's Chicago campus, 3700 W. 103rd St.

The event, which costs $6, begins at 9 a.m. in the Butler Reception Room. Coffee will be served upon arrival followed by McCaughey's lecture, titled "The Face of God in Schools," at 9:30 a.m.

McCaughey has 38 years of experience in Catholic schools. Born in Chicago and raised in an Irish-Catholic home, McCaughey attended Catholic elementary schools. Following her completion of elementary school, McCaughey attended Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights where, after 15 years of teaching, she eventually became principal.
