20 Years Later, St. Damian Teachers 'Can't Imagine Being Anywhere Else But Here'

Four teachers at St. Damian hit a very big milestone this week—20 years at the school. Principal Colleen Domke, along with the rest of the school community, celebrated the faculty members Monday, Nov. 21 at a special liturgy.

Twenty years later, and four special teachers at still can't imagine working in any other school.

Teachers Jim Panozzo, Jacqueline Skibinksi, Maggie Cour and Suzanne Hall received a school-wide round of applause, recognition and commemorative plaques during a special Thanksgiving prayer service Monday, Nov. 21.

"Every job at our school is so very vital and important in making our school so successful and special. Everyone plays such an important role," said Principal Colleen Domke.

"Today we celebrate four of these very special people, who together, are into 80 years of teaching and touching the lives of our young people each and everyday at St. Damian."

"All four of them believe St. Damian offers the best education and faith formation around. They not only believe this for all of us, but each of them sent their own children to St. Damian for those reasons at well.

..."Without them, we would not be able to get into school everyday, or online everyday, and we would not be physically fit. And we would never make it to sixth grade."

"Today we recognize these four for their smiling faces, their dedication, their perserverance, their leadership and their unending school spirit."
