What's the Catch for Cats? Cook County Says Kitties Must Be Tagged, Too

A recent requirement from Cook County requires that all cats within Oak Forest limits be registered.

A new Cook County regulation requires that all cats within the county—in addition to dogs—be licensed.

The licensing process is the same for cats as it is for dogs. The $5 license must be purchased by July 1.

Pet owners can download an animal license application form by visiting the city's website under Resident Information. A mailed version is also available by contacting the City Clerk's office.
