AUSPICIOUS ! November 8, 2012 at 01:58 am
isnt it wonderful living in america?
we all get to choose how smart we want to be....
Kerry November 8, 2012 at 02:17 am
57 % of the electorate voted on Nov 6. Obama got 50 % of the vote. That means only about 28 % supported him! Far from a mandate. The people did not want him.
Hugh November 8, 2012 at 02:40 am
But look at the comments on this board. There are the Obama supporters who are happy and see that is was a great night. America and Americans won, well except for billionaires. You see John Boner and Mitch McConnel on tv today saying they won't give an inch. You have the Faux news network on collective suicide watch but well enough to continue with the lies and hate. You have Trump tweet REVOLUTION. Obama won and he deserves everyones support. If his programs fail, we'll recover. Just like we've almost recovered from the 8 yrs of dummyBush. Its 2012, not 1950. We have to adjust or die. If some programs have a socialist angle, fine. 100% pure Capitalism/ Free Markets don't work, never have and will continue to get worse. It creates greed, look at the Walton family or the Kock Bros. Both of whom stick it up every workers butt, in the name of accumulating more money. Thats not right, and their fortune is based on, not only their idea and hard work but also to their workers. And their workers need to be treated fairly and appreciated. Obama is a good man and one who truely believes in America and the American dream. But the American dream has been hijacked by corporation so full of greed at any cost. Corporations that send money or jobs oversea's should be taxed to the full extent in order to get their products back in the US. Its time everyone puts country first, not profit. If they are honest, make a great product and take care of workers, they'll be fine.

Michael M., I think I speak for Tim when I say our moral compasses are working fine.
I pose these questions to you: What if a woman was raped and got pregnant? Do you agree with Todd Akin, who said "women's bodies have a way of shutting that down"? Do you agree with Richard Mourdock, the recently defeated Senate candidate from Indiana, who said "pregnancy from rape is a gift from God"? What about women who are low income wage earners and can't afford to have a child? (Don't say they shouldn't be having sex either!) Do you support public welfare programs (food stamps, WIC, etc.)? If you say "no" to any of these questions, you're not "pro-life". You're "anti-abortion".
my opinion November 8, 2012 at 05:08 am
CB, if obama is for equal pay why do the women in the white house make less than the good ole' boys?
my opinion November 8, 2012 at 05:18 am
RB, know the definition of a moderate? Someone who doesn't believe in anything strongly enough to stand up for it.
As Aaron Tippett signs...."you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything".
my opinion November 8, 2012 at 05:25 am
Unfortunately we have seen obama's best, doesn't leave much HOPE for the future.
By the way Harry reid is already spouting off about not compromising in the Senate. So, why would anyone expect the house to compromise. Time for Obama to do his job and run the country, not pass off his responsibilities to Reid and Pelosi.
vicky November 8, 2012 at 10:19 am
Obama has some explaining to do about Libya.
Another story the media has chosen to ignore to help get him elected. He's a lying manipulative con artist. One of the worst Presidents along with Carter & George W. Bush.
Michael Lovetere November 8, 2012 at 12:47 pm
Romney paid 3 million in taxes last year...That's not fair enough?
Michael Lovetere November 8, 2012 at 12:55 pm
Yep, that just about sums up the unvarnished truth...
Michael Lovetere November 8, 2012 at 01:00 pm
nice job, eh? has a private jet and plays golf every other day on the public taxpayer's dime while many people are wondering where their next meal is coming from. but hey! He's got his.....
Michael Lovetere November 8, 2012 at 01:08 pm
Yeah, sad display ....The greatest country in the world and these morons still don't know how to vote on character ...sad...Not what martin Luther King tried to teach them at all....guess they weren't listening
vicky November 8, 2012 at 01:09 pm
Katie, Love the name calling.
The Obama campaign must have rubbed off on you. Not a sore loser, just think Obama is one of our worst Presidents along with Carter & George W. Bush.
Michael Lovetere November 8, 2012 at 01:13 pm
It's going to be re-distributed from the productive people that own businesses and employees that work , and given to those that don't....Obamanomics! That's his socialist idea of "fair"
Michael Lovetere November 8, 2012 at 01:19 pm
To Tinley Park Mom...Where you been in the last 4 years? Blaming Bush again? Bush hasn't been in office the last 4 years, and in that time we have 6 trillion more of the national debt. i guess Bush snuck in the White House and did it, huh?
Robert Green November 8, 2012 at 03:15 pm
Now the fun starts! The House will not support tax increases for the rich so everyone's taxes will go up on Jan 1, 2013! Obamacare will be the law of the land for at least 4 years! Those of you with jobs...watch...you may be going to part time status (30 hours...it's already started) so your company can avoid the Obamacare Mandate or the tax! That means many of you will have to buy your own insurance or pay the tax which is not insurance! If we do go off the fiscal cliff on Jan 1, not only will taxes go up on everyone, but mandatory cuts to governmental spending go into effect! The Military gets the biggest cuts! (watch for increased terror attacks!) Iran will most likely get the nuke...watch out Israel and large western cities!!! All this and more! Couldn't happen to nicer administration... :)
Robert Green November 8, 2012 at 03:22 pm
That's right!!! No more outsourcing by the U.S. Government!!! Now that Obama is re-elected, maybe he can get some of our tax dollars back from Fiskar (Scandinavia) and the Green Companies who got stimulus dollars and moved their manufacturing south of the border!
Robert Green November 8, 2012 at 03:26 pm
I am so happy for all Democrats! Now we will all get to see what a real depression feels like! I predict 30 million unemployed by 2016 and a national debt of 20 trillion!!! :)
Robert Green November 8, 2012 at 03:35 pm
Those of you who love unions...get used to being layed off! It's unlikely that your union will accept your going to 30 hours per week as your companies choose between the Obama Mandate of providing insurance or paying the tax! The move to a 30 hour work week is already in motion!!! That's the truth!!! Companies will not have to either buy insurance or pay the tax if they move to part time employees! Of course, you will be required to buy insurance or pay the tax!!! LOL Some of you may get lucky, but others of your union brethren won't be! Business is poised to go into very low gear. As business pulls back even farther, fewer jobs will be created and prices will rise. I look FORWARD to the new Socialist Paradise! :)
H.I. McDunnough November 8, 2012 at 07:13 pm
Mike M, I'm guessing you enjoyed bushCo's torture policy and illegal & unjust wars and the biggest financial disaster since the Great Depression as well, eh?
H.I. McDunnough November 8, 2012 at 07:18 pm
May I suggest a nice plate of buttered noodles and a glass of pinot grigio?
vicky November 8, 2012 at 11:49 pm
The only plan Obama had was to get Obamacare passed & nothing else.
Now the economy will be crippled more, companies afraid to hire because of the uncertainty with the new health care. Obama has really screwed us over & over.
Kathy November 9, 2012 at 02:26 am
All I see is blah, blah, blah auspicious (or smith, whoever you want to be today). Except for the part where you say Obama is for everyone. Not true. If he was for everyone he would not skirt around the officials elected by the people, whom he supposedly represents. He only stands for his own arrogant ideas, and constitution and people who disagree be damned. Well, this time, he got fewer votes and barely half of them at that. He better listen to the other half this time and compromise. Time for him to put his arrogance aside.
vicky November 9, 2012 at 01:23 pm
The people who voted for Obama are in a class all of their own.........
the stupid class. He's got you right where he wants you........
Tinley Park Mom November 10, 2012 at 08:21 pm
Kerry
NEWSFLASH President Obama was re-elected as President of the United States Electoral Votes OBAMA 332 romney 203 confushed or just not so good at Math???
Kerry November 11, 2012 at 04:23 am
Tinley Park Mom.... Obama won with only 28 % support of the electorate. Hardly a mandate. Is this over your head?
Kerry November 11, 2012 at 04:49 am
Tinley park mom, its obvious you do not understand how the election process works in the United States. FYI , there is a difference from the electoral votes vs the actual vote. Obama got only about 28 % of the actual votes available.
LollysR November 11, 2012 at 07:15 am
Republicans will continue to hold the country hostage (split houses) and continue to blame everyone except themelves.
Tinley Park Mom November 12, 2012 at 01:52 am
Kerry you better let everyone know...I m sure they are waiting for you information..
H.I. McDunnough November 21, 2012 at 05:54 pm

They had a great line-up in 2010. Last year was so-so, but weather played a factor. They had toRead More close early because of storms. Two great bands I wished they booked for this year were Maggie Speaks and 7th Heaven. Both of those bands attracted huge crowds and are very talented.

I hope that you find the owners of that pet! I bring my black Shepherd up there when we go...oneRead More reason I don't let my dog go with neighbors is because neighbors can't control him like we do. I dare anyone to name a more dangerous intersection then that. The turn from 147th st west bound toRead More southbound Oak Park is the worst I've seen. One slip and your car goes down a ravine 20 feet. The civil engineer and county people who approved that design should be called out. We NEED HELP!
