One Day Left to Register to Vote

The voter registration deadline for the Tuesday, April 9, election must register by Tuesday, March 12.

The deadline for Illinois voters to register for the upcoming election on Tuesday, April 9, is almost here. Voters looking to cast their ballot in the election should head to one of several locations to register, including the County Clerk's Office, city and village offices, township offices and public libraries and register by Tuesday, March 12.

To register:

  • voters must be a United States citizen, 
  • over the age of 18 
  • and have lived in their precinct for at least 30 days prior to the election.

Voters must provide two forms of identification: one with a current address, and others that can include a copy of current and valid photo ID, copy of a utility bill bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document with name and address.
