Mother Sues Oak Forest Health Center Over Son's Severed Finger

The woman says the surroundings at the center were 'hazardous and unsafe' and led to her son's finger being severed.

A woman is suing Oak Forest Health Center, after a table fell on her son's hand and severed his finger as he waited to be seen by a doctor, Sun-Times Media reports.

In the suit, Cherise Davis said she and her son Daniel Jones were awaiting an exam by a doctor last month when the accident happened, according to the report.

The suit alleges negligence on the part of the center, 15900 S. Cicero Ave., claiming that staff "did not warn visitors of the 'hazardous and unsafe' condition of the table."
