Teen Nite Club Coming to Oak Forest? Maybe

The Oak Forest City Council Tuesday will consider a special use permit for Oxygen Teen Nite Club, which would be located at 5200 W. 159th Street. The club would offer teens a place to hang on weekends.

Teens across the Southland could soon have a new spot to hang out on the weekends, if the Oak Forest city council approves an amendment and special use permit for a teen night club at 5200 W. 159th Street in Oak Forest.

Oxygen Teen Nite Club, which would be located in the former Del Rocks, would be open Friday and Saturday nights, along with special occasions, for teens to gather, socialize and dance.

The owner of the potential club, James Marcanio—who also owns At the Office, a bar in Crestwood—notes that there are several similar clubs in the northwest and western suburbs, although Oxygen Teen Nite Club would be smaller than those. The club would serve teen-friendly beverages during business hours, although no food is planned at this point.
