Incumbent Hangs on to 4th Ward Alderman Seat
Alderman Chuck Toland will continue to serve the 4th Ward.
Alderman Chuck Toland (4th Ward) will keep his seat on the Oak Forest City Council, after beating newcomer John "Jack" Janozik.
Toland racked up 269 votes to Janozik's 211. Of its 2,427 registered voters, the ward saw roughly 20 percent turnout.
"I wanted to thank the people who went out and voted," Toland told Patch. "I'd like to thank my opponent for keeping a clean, productive campaign.

"He brought up good points that need to be addressed. Hopefully, we can keep moving Oak Forest forward. We need to find other ways to produce revenue, keep our services for the people top notch.
"I'm going to do the best for my constituents."

Toland has served as alderman since 2007.
