City Meetings: Who's Gathering This Week (July 15-19)
Patch tells you what boards, commissions and other panels are holding public meetings.
Each week, Patch will list the various City of Oak Forest commissions, committees and other governmental bodies that are meeting over the next five days. These listings will note the top items on the agenda, as well.
Meetings are held at City Hall unless otherwise noted. Under the state's Open Meetings Act, notice of public meetings and their agendas must be posted at least 48 hours in advance. Agendas and minutes from past meetings can be found on the city's website.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 17
- Crime Prevention Commission, 7 p.m., Blue Room: The agenda includes discussion on the city's National Night Out, Theater-in-the-Park and neighborhood watch programs. Go to the city's website to view the complete agenda.
- Planning and Zoning Commission, 7 p.m., Council Chambers: The agenda includes a public hearing for a resident's variance request from the side-yard setback requirement to build a garage on the owner's property at 15148 Le Claire Ave. Go to the city's website to view the complete agenda.
THURSDAY, JULY 18
Citizens Advisory Board, 7:15 p.m., Blue Room: The agenda includes discussion on an informal poll by aldermen about drivers' cell phone usage, and Oak Forest police Chief Greg Anderson will talk about the state's new concealed-carry law. Go to the city's website to view the complete agenda.
