City Administrator John Marquart Resigns

Administrator announces he'll step down from city role, return to Michigan home.

Oak Forest City Administrator John Marquart has resigned. His last day is scheduled for April 1.

Marquart, who began as city administrator in 2008, will return to his home in northern Michigan which he left for his position with Oak Forest.

As some accomplishments during his time with the city, he notes the aesthetic improvements to Cicero Avenue, $742,000 in state-funded reconstruction of Victoria Drive, and the creation of a salt storage facility, in addition to hiring Police Chief Greg Anderson.

Marquart said he will provide Mayor Hank Kuspa with the name(s) of people who may be interested in assisting on an interim basis.
