Alderman Grateful for Paramedics Who Helped Wife

When Ald. Richard Simon's wife was in need of help, four members of the Oak Forest Fire Department came to her aid—and it meant the world to him.

Just as National Emergency Medical Services week was wrapping up last week, Ald. Richard Simon found himself reaching out to Oak Forest's own emergency services, when his wife Becky was in need of immediate care. Simon set aside a moment during the city council meeting Tuesday, May 24, to offer his gratitude through Deputy Chief Charley Sopko.

"The four gentleman who showed up were just exemplary," Simon told Sopko.

Sopko named the four as firefighters Tim Moss, Matt Tinberg, Scott Selimos and Juan Pantoja.
