Air Pollution Alert Issued for Sunday

Those with sensitivities, such as people with respiratory or pulmonary disorders, to air pollution should take special precautions.

Today might look like it's going to be a great day but it's what you can't see that might cause you distress.

The Illinois EPA and Partners for Clear Air have issued an "Air Pollution Action Day" alert for the Chicago area, including Cook County and Will County.

Levels of ozone or fine particulates are expected to be at a level that's unhealthily for those with sensitivities, according to the alert.

Those sensitive to these types of air conditions and will be active today should take precautions and follow any prescribed regimens.

A high in the lower 90s also is expected for today so be sure to keep cool and drink plenty of water.
