What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?
MORE Businesses and Economic Growth. We need to evaluate tax breaks and other incentives to help local businesses survive and grow. Most important, allow for the creation of MORE businesses in Oak Forest so we can relieve the burden on the homeowners. When you increase businesses you add revenue to the overall budget and in return reduce the burden on the residents. This is something we need to do EVERYDAY.

Why Are You Seeking Office?
I'm running for 4th Ward Alderman because I want to help families make our neighborhoods stronger, safer and more productive each and every day not just prior to an election. I want to make Oak Forest a strong and friendly business community where people would want to shop and drive up our economic engine so we can reduce the burden on the residential taxpayer.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?
Being a firefighter, I see what goes on the city and I am more cognizant as to the needs of my constituents. When I go out on calls I see where things are lacking or what needs to be addressed. Having talked to many residents, I understand their concerns and will work hard to address them. My first priority is the taxpayer.

What is the biggest issue facing Ward 4?
In talking to the residents of the 4th Ward and from the feed back I have recieved there isnt just one concern, however, continually looking to the residents to supplement the budget is the largest concerns of the residents. The lack of businesses is another. Condition of streets in various neighborhoods and the safety of the residents.

What does the city of Oak Forest need most?
Businesses—we need to constantly find businesses. Just recently we have increased the drive for more businesses but that should always be our main priority because we have a lot of vacant buildings and property. This is a concern greatly expressed by many residents. The city needs to be transparent with its economic plan of the community and what the ideas for future development are.
