Woman Threatens Off-Duty Sheriff's Deputy: Midlothian Police Blotter

Ronald Said You Can't Come In

Michael H. Grant, 18, of the 14900 block of S. Artesian Avenue, Harvey, was charged with criminal trespass to real property after an incident at McDonalds, 14601 S. Pulaski road.

At the scene, officers spoke with a manager of the McDonalds, who told them that Grant had been told several times not to enter the business or property, both by employees and police. Officers then located Grant, who said he entered the business to use his friend's cell phone to call for a ride.

Grant was taken into custody and taken to the Midlothian Police Department, where he was processed and then transported to Markham lockup, after he was unable to post bond.

I Thought I Left That Coke in my Other Coat

Ricky L. Davis, 22, of the 30 block of W. 143rd Street, Dismoor, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop in the 14700 block of S. St. Louis Avenue.

During a traffic stop for a non-illuminated registration plate, officers noted that Davis reached into his left coat pocket as officers approached his car. During the stop Davis seemed more nervous than one should be during a routine traffic stop and asked to search his person. He consented and officers found three clear plastic baggies, each containing an off-white, rock-like substance.

The substance field-tested the substance, which tested positive as .3 grams of cocaine. Davis said that said that $690.25 on him at the time of the arrest.

Davis was taken to the Midlothian Police Department, where he was charged and transported to the Markham Courthouse for a bond hearing.

Don't Threaten an Off-Duty Sheriff's Deputy

Sandy Lunn, 46, of the 14900 block of S. Hamlin Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct, after getting into a verbal altercation in front of her home with an off-duty DuPage County Sheriff.

At the home, police spoke with the sheriff, who said that she was speaking with a local cab driver, when Lunn approached the car and began to yell.

The sheriff said that Lunn then threatened her and began using various expletives.

When police arrived, they spoke with Lunn who refused to cooperate with officers and began yelling, “All of us pig cops stick together, and that whatever that [expletive] cop said is a lie.” Lunn refused to tell officers what transpired or cooperate.

The officers placed Lunn in custody, at which time she physically resisted the officers before being placed into a waiting police vehicle.

Lunn was transported to the Midlothian Police Department, where she was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer. Lunn was released on bond and given a court date of Nov. 16 at the Markham Courthouse.
